It’s up on Facebook with 33 comments supporting approval, but there are still many questions. We need Council members to clarify funding, whether all Bronte swim clubs and Board Riders can use the facility, and if the Nippers will have access to the tavern area. An unelected panel approved the DA with strong backing from Waverley Councillors, but public participation in the process has been sidelined. There’s a need for transparency on whether this is a true community facility or simply a tavern. Alcohol and swim safety don’t mix.
