Subject: Bronte Surf Club Car Parking Allocation
I would like to address Clause 26 of the heads of agreement for the Bronte Surf Club rebuild, which includes a 20-year lease and appears to grant the club nine (9) car spaces in Bronte Cutting.
Is the club’s acceptance of Council’s $7 million contribution conditional on securing these parking spaces, or is this provision meant to prevent the Council from reallocating these spots for the next 20 years? If the latter, it would seem improper. This clause appears unrelated to the building contract and should not be included.
